A guide for equipment buyers

A practical checklist for a U.S. bottling equipment project

Buying a used machine is one decision; bringing it into your production process is another. Prepare these project details before selecting equipment for your U.S. facility.

Production requirements

Product; container material and dimensions; closures; fill volume; label positions; required output; planned format changes. Describe the application clearly enough to assess the equipment configuration.

Factory information

Share the destination, available floor space, access dimensions, transfer heights and existing line layout. Request the machine footprint and compare the incoming equipment to your plant drawing.

Power and utilities

Request the original electrical specification, control information and utility requirements. Have your plant team assess suitability for the destination. Do not treat the listed machine speed as evidence of electrical or operational compatibility.

Transfer and arrival

Identify who manages dismantling, lifting, packing, transport and unloading. Discuss handling equipment, site access and delivery timing. Define installation and start-up responsibilities separately in the project scope.

Documentation and decision

Request the technical information that is available for the machine and identify outstanding questions. Before ordering, confirm availability, the equipment included, condition, service scope and commercial terms.
